Last week mayhem

Tuesday

Squat Cleans

I warmed up a lot and ended up with
165x3, 185x3, 205x2, 205x2 (stayed the same to work on the second rep being more crisp)
225x1, 245x1, 250 (fail)

Fun times, love a good squat clean.

Yuck, running and clusters, worst thing ever. This one burned like a sumbitch.


Wednesday
Fight Gone Bad
Score - 404 Reps

I am super happy with this because I have always wanted to break 400, but at the same time its sort of bittersweet because I was still doing the box jumps with the "old standard" of jumping on and off, not the full controlled stand-up which wastes a lot of time. But the BJs are where I make up most of my score on this one, so who knows. The standard for what is a great score on this one is all skewed for me now.

I think I did:
18,17,16 for the row
31, 26, 24 for wall balls
51, 47, 44, for box jumps
26, 24, 23, for SDLHP
25, 25, 23, for Push Press

Something along those lines, did not even add up the math, but it was in that range throughout.

Thursday
Rest day, felt like trashbags after the FGB the night before.

Fun WOD, really challenging when you get after it hard. The pull ups were a PR, previous was 7 I believe on the old rig.

I did this with a partner and we had to change weights a lot, so I have no idea what my individual score would have been, I did this at a semi-leisurely pace, everything unbroken the whole way through.

If I did this alone I think I would do more like 250, 175, 135 for weights and make it more challenging so that I could not go unbroken the whole way.
Also, I did power cleans, not full squat, which was quicker. I think the RX is squat for the advanced athlete??


Sunday
Strict Cindy
AMRAP 20 (ended up being 3 minutes, then got a phone call, then 17 more minutes, but whatever)
3 strict pull ups
10 push ups
15 air squats

Score - 21 Rounds + 3 pull ups

This was fun, still mostly a push up workout, but I felt better than other times I have done this WOD. I would say 3 strict pull ups is more taxing than 5 kipping, so this is probably a damn good reflection of the fact I have been getting better at push ups by doing them more often.
I was going to do Cindy this week in classes, but this was all I could do at home in the Hurricane so I went with it to try to get a sweat on after a relatively bad cheat day and football watching session.
